Hello and Welcome!
I am a balanced life strategist and mental health professional that is a native of Sedalia, NC, and a graduate of Fayetteville State University. GO BRONCOS! I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina, the co-founder of Oasis Haven of Healing, and the Agency Director of Rising Hope Clinical Assistance Center.
I am an advocate for healthy living physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually while being motivated by seeing the lives of people transformed. Thus, I have a genuine call to educate and counsel in a bold effort toward self-discovery and awareness to find hidden treasures in each individual. I am committed to helping people ascertain what might encapsulate their mind and heart from pursuing all that God has for them. My gifts are utilized in an uncanny approach to holistically counsel, teach and train first biblically and then practically to help reach the next dimension of life while tapping into gifts and talents that otherwise would have remained dormant.
I enjoy public speaking and training, and have a strong passion for millennials and couples. Running, bike riding, yoga, massages, candle lit bubble baths, and lunch dates with family and friends are all regular parts of my “tank filling” routine. I am an advocate for living organ donation after donating my kidney in 2018. Women and Girls have a special place in my heart and being on the board of two Guilford County non-profits that advocate for women and girls’ wellness allows me to help make a difference on a grander scale.
My husband and childhood friend is Terence Barnes and together we have three amazing daughters. Terence and I established and co-lead a group of other young married couples called Kingdom Covenant Connection (KCC) Marriage Group where we seek to support, empower, and provide accountability for healthy, God-centered marriages. I have the heart of a worshipper and love to sing. My life goal is loving people well and reflecting Christ in a way that draws others to Him.
